Day 1
Daily objective: Review of slopes of line; slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines. Slope is the amount of number something increases over time. To have a parallel slope you have the same slope.

1) Will the lines of these equations be parallel? 2x-6 , and 2x-3

2)If two equations have the same exponent will they be parallel?

Day 2

Daily objective: Review Pythagorean theorem. Definitions of angles. Triangle sum; triangle classifications. Distance formula. Pythagorean theorem is the method used to determine the length of a side of a triangle when you have two other sides.

Daily objective: special right triangles. A 30-60-90 triangle means that one angle is 30 degrees, one is 60 degrees, and one is 90 degrees. All angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

Unit 5

Day 1:

          Daily objective: Student will use the line of best fit to find the equations of lines.
The line of best fit is a mathematical function that has the best fit to a series of data points. In other words, the line of best fit is a straight line that goes through the graph. It is the average of the graph points, you want to try to get the same number of dots one each side of the line. The data points that the line hits will help you find the equation needed for your line. 


Once you get your two points then you will notice that they make a triangle. This triangle is key to finding the equation of the line of best fit.

Daily objective: Students will write the linear equation of a line using data from a line of best fit, or 2 given points.

Day 3 (old checklist)

Daily objective: students will be able to find the number of outcomes for compound events, conditional events, and compute probability and odds.

Daily objective: students will be able to write the equation of a line given the two data points.  With this students will be given two data points, and with that information they would be able to find the equation of a line.
